"Racial" Persecution

Euthanasia

After the "seizure of power" by the National Socialists, "racial hygiene" in a radicalised form became state doctrine. The exclusion of "foreign races" was joined by the biological "clean up" of the "body of the German people" through the elimination of "inferiors" from heredity. The "Law for the Prevention of Progeny with Hereditary Diseases" of Juli 14th, 1933 made the registration and forcible sterilisation of "inferiors" possible to a hitherto unknown and radical degree. At the beginning of the War Hitler implemented an "Action" that had been planned for a long time: "Euthanasia", the "Extermination of Life Unworthy of Life" in hospitals and mental institutions. "Racial hygiene" played no role at this stage. It was all about getting rid of useless and expensive "dead weight". It was in this first state-run mass murder program that the technique of "gassing" was developed, with which millions of Jews were murdered as of 1942.
