The Obersalzberg Documentation welcomed its 1,000,000th visitor, namely Michael Fischlein from Munich accompanied by his wife, who visited the Documentation  on their return journey from Slovakia during a stopover in Berchtesgaden.

Between October 13th, 2006 and March 31st, 2007, the Obersalzberg Documentation will show its first winter exhibition on the topic: Roads to Annihilation. The deportation of the Jews from Main-Franconia 1941   1943 in view of the files and the Gestapo Wuerzburg photo album.

The 8th Obersalzberg Talk will take place on October 12th, 2006. The topic: Roads to Annihilation — The deportation of the Jews from Main-Franconia 1941 - 1943 in view of the files and the Gestapo Wuerzburg photo album. Subsequently, the first winter exhibition will be opened.

The 2nd edition of the “Didaktisches Handbuch” (Didactical Manual) and the "CD Arbeitsunterlagen" (CD-Rom with work material, both in German) have been released. They are available individually and as part of the Pedagogical Case.

The Obersalzberg Documentation will celebrate “International Museum Day” on the 21st of May 2006 by granting free admission and free use of audio guides. This years motto „Museums and young people“ will be reflected in free thematic tours in German on the topic “Hitler – a friend of youth?”.

The Obersalzberg Documentation will celebrate “International Museum Day” (Sunday, the 8th of May 2005) by granting “free admission” for the day. There will be free guided tours in German for individual visitors at 10:00 and 12:00. English Audio guides will also be free.

The 5th Obersalzberg Discussion will cover “The bombing of Obersalzberg 1945”, on Tuesday, April 26th 2005 and Thursday, April 28th 2005 (in German).

The English version of the Obersalzberg Documentation webpage starts into the new year with new layout and a clarified structure.

The Obersalzberg Documentation had its most successful year in 2004 with exactly 136.000 visitors.

The Obersalzberg Documentation welcomed its 500.000th visitor, namely Christoph Langer, teacher for history at Berchtesgaden. He visited the exhibition together with 16 eleventh grade pupils and 16 exchange students from the Private Grammar School Szczeczin, Poland.

The new, revised Homepage www.obersalzberg.de is released simultaneously in German and for the first time in English.

The Dokumentation Obersalzberg welcomed its 250,000th visitor, namely Frau Barbara Schröder from Berlin accompanied by Herr Peter Merschank, vacationing in Schönau am Königssee.
